Sensi Seeds Black Domina
Since 1996, Black Domina has brought the finest indica genetics to a fast-flowering, densely crystal-covered hybrid strain. One of the darkest indicas ever bred, Black Domina has been gaining a following for over two decades. The feminized variant of the phenomenal quadruple hybrid delights her fans with outstanding qualities that are now even more readily available: she is super strong, very distinctive and beautiful.
The strains that go into feminized Black Domina Feminized include four of the finest indicas ever discovered. Sensi Seeds has combined these strains and created a strain that is more than the sum of its parts: a feminized 95% indica strain that is very different from the parent strains.
The breeders at Sensi Seeds started with their in-house Northern Lights, long recognized as one of the best indicas ever bred and famed for its resin production. Added to this was the Ortega: This lesser-known strain is a descendant of the Northern Lights. Another strain was Sensi's Hash Plant, which produces resin extremely generously and reliably. Combining a short flowering time with high productivity, Hash Plant has passed these qualities on to feminized Black Domina. Finally, a carefully selected Afghani variety called "SA" was added to achieve robust growth and stable bud sites.
As you would expect, this feminized quadruple hybrid strain produces vigorous, invariably female plants with some variation in phenotypes. These have the characteristic qualities appreciated by indica lovers: low growing height, intense resin production, large firm buds and a short flowering time. However, Black Domina differs from other indicas because it displays an exceptionally dark green color and the plants appear almost black in certain lighting conditions. This unusual pigmentation also affects the buds. They have dark purple streaks on dark green overlaid with vibrant orange hairs and a glossy layer of trichomes.
Black Domina produces compact plants with a tendency to develop a heavy central cola. The strain has a short flowering time of around 50 days. Of course, she grows well indoors, but can also be grown outdoors in regions with a warm, Mediterranean climate. Back when the cloning process was still used, the regular Black Domina was considered a favorite for this technique.
The qualities that specifically characterize this 95% indica allow successful harvests even for the novice. Yields can be even greater in the hands of growers with years of experience. But even complete novices should be able to grow vigorous plants with extremely powerful, delicious buds. Many who first grew the regular Black Domina when it was released in 1996 have since returned to this strain and it has truly achieved cult status.
The flavors of Black Domina Feminized are savory rather than sweet or sour. This unusual strain combines strong blackberry tones and black pepper with a black hash finish. These unusual flavor notes also contributed to the name. Both the smell and the taste contain this special blend of aromas. They overlay an earthy Afghani base note that seasoned smokers will quickly recognize. Black Domina is one of those strains that you will always recognize once you get to know her!
