Soils and Growing Substrates
Various growth media can be used for plant cultivation:
From a selected range of different plant soils to rock wool and fibers from the coconut plant, to clay granules and pearlites. There are also special solutions for growing cuttings and seeds.
To grow plants you need a medium and since there are other cultivation media besides soil, the question naturally arises:
Which medium is right for me?
As a growing beginner, we recommend the tried-and-tested medium earth, as it is more forgiving and does not necessarily require pH and EC measuring devices.
Organic media such as earth have a certain buffer function against supply errors and also contain many useful microorganisms and trace elements. In addition, the taste from hydroponics is often referred to as "chemical".
