Arizer Solo III Version 1 portable vaporizer

Arizer Solo III Version 1 Portable Vaporizer

The Arizer Solo III Version 1 is one of the Canadian manufacturer’s most powerful and advanced portable dry-herb vaporizers. It combines next-generation ceramic convection heating, a large color display, Session and On-Demand modes and the increased capacity of the XL Glass Pod system in one robust device.

The Solo III is designed for users seeking precise temperature control, rapid heating and a clean glass vapor path in a portable format. It can be used for direct draws with the 90 mm glass aroma tube or connected to a compatible water-filtration system through the included 14 mm frosted glass aroma tube.

Version 1 provides 5 V / 3 A USB-C charging, operation while charging and up to approximately three hours of battery life. Its robust construction and high-capacity battery make the Solo III less pocket-sized than some smaller models, but particularly practical for longer sessions at home or while traveling.

Instant-Heating Ceramic Convection Technology

The Solo III Version 1 uses an advanced silica-free ceramic heating unit. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the hybrid system operates with an approximate heat-transfer ratio of 80% convection and 20% conduction. Heated air passes through the dry botanical material while direct heat from the glass chamber also contributes to even warming.

Depending on the selected temperature and environmental conditions, the powerful heating unit can reach its operating temperature in approximately 5–15 seconds. This is useful when there is no time for an extended preheating process or when the On-Demand mode is preferred.

  • Fast-response ceramic heating unit
  • Convection-focused hybrid heating
  • Approximately 5–15-second heat-up time
  • More even heating within the botanical chamber
  • Adjustable temperature for different aroma profiles
  • Isolated, clean glass vapor path

Actual vapor density and flavor are influenced by the selected temperature, moisture content, grinding consistency, chamber fill level and draw speed. Identical results cannot be guaranteed for every botanical material or setting.

Large Color Display and Updated Operating System

The new Solo III operating system uses a large, easy-to-read color display to show the current temperature, target temperature, battery status, active mode and session information. A central button and directional controls positioned below the display provide straightforward menu navigation.

The temperature can be displayed in Celsius or Fahrenheit. In Session Mode, a short button press adjusts the temperature in 1° increments, while holding the button changes it in 10° increments. Programmable temperature profiles can also be created for faster access to frequently used settings.

Session Mode

Session Mode is designed for longer, continuous use. The device heats to the selected temperature and maintains it until the automatic shut-off timer expires. The temperature can be adjusted between 50 and 220°C, providing a broad range for various permitted dry herbs and aromatherapy botanicals.

On-Demand Mode

On-Demand Mode is intended for shorter, use-as-needed operation. Heating is activated only when the appropriate button is pressed, after which the device reaches the selected heat level. Version 1 offers five predefined On-Demand heat levels: 180, 190, 200, 210 and 220°C.

With these two operating modes, the Solo III can support relaxed extended sessions as well as shorter and more focused applications.

XL Glass Pod System with Double Capacity

Arizer’s characteristic Glass Pod system places the dry botanical material directly inside the end of the glass aroma tube. This simple construction helps reduce residue inside the electronic device and allows most of the vapor path to remain within borosilicate glass.

The new XL Glass Pod provides approximately double the capacity and increased airflow compared with traditional Air/Solo glass aroma tubes. Depending on the structure and preparation of the botanical material, the maximum filling capacity may be approximately 0.5 g.

The larger chamber can be especially practical for extended Session Mode use or operation with a water-filtration system. Traditional Air/Solo glass tubes remain compatible for smaller quantities, allowing users to select the chamber size that best suits their needs.

  • XL chamber with approximately double the filling capacity
  • Increased airflow
  • Borosilicate glass vapor path
  • Compatible with standard and XL aroma tubes
  • 90 mm glass aroma tube for direct use
  • 14 mm frosted glass adapter for water-filtration systems

The glass chamber should not be packed too tightly because compressed material can restrict airflow and cause uneven heating. Properly ground material should be placed loosely inside the chamber without being firmly pressed down.

Clean Glass Vapor Path and Natural Flavor

One of the distinguishing features of Arizer vaporizers is the borosilicate glass aroma tube. The botanical material is held inside the glass chamber, and the generated vapor travels through the glass tube before reaching the user. The neutral glass surface does not introduce a metallic or plastic aftertaste.

The isolated vapor path reduces direct contact with the electronic components of the device, while the removable glass tubes make routine cleaning easier. Glass remains breakable, so the included PVC travel tubes and silicone stem caps should be used during transport and storage.

Up to Three Hours of Battery Life

The Solo III Version 1 uses a high-capacity dual-cell 21700 battery system. According to the manufacturer, a full charge can provide up to approximately three hours of operation, depending on temperature settings and general usage patterns.

Actual operating time is affected by the selected temperature, session duration, frequency of heat-up cycles, display settings and ambient temperature. The maximum figure is therefore provided as a guideline and is not guaranteed under every usage condition.

USB-C Charging and Use While Charging

The included 5 V / 3 A USB-C charger provides a convenient and widely compatible charging solution. When the battery has sufficient charge, the device can also be operated while connected to the charger. If the battery is completely depleted, it must be charged briefly before operation can begin.

The battery is not user-replaceable. Opening the device housing, using an unsuitable charger or installing a third-party battery may create a safety risk and void the warranty.

Direct Use or Connection to a Water Filter

The 90 mm glass aroma tube is intended for direct use. The XL version provides a larger chamber, while the standard Air/Solo version offers a smaller filling capacity. The included silicone stem caps can be used to close prepared or previously used aroma tubes.

The 14 mm frosted glass aroma tubes can be connected to compatible water-filtration systems. In this configuration, the vapor travels through water, which can help reduce its temperature. A water filter is not included, and only a stable, correctly sized and compatible device should be used.

Preparation and First Use

  1. Fully charge the Solo III battery before first use.
  2. Remove the glass aroma tubes and all packaging materials.
  3. Switch on the device and perform an empty heating cycle in a well-ventilated area.
  4. Set the temperature to 220°C and allow the empty device to operate for approximately 5–10 minutes.
  5. Allow the device and glass components to cool.
  6. Loosely fill the aroma-tube chamber with appropriately ground dry botanical material.
  7. Insert the glass tube into the correctly preheated device.
  8. Select Session or On-Demand Mode and the desired temperature.
  9. After the ready notification, inhale slowly and consistently.

Insertion of the glass aroma tube may initially feel tight. In this situation, the manufacturer recommends heating the device to 200°C for one or two minutes before carefully trying again. The glass should never be forced or pushed in with a twisting motion.

Temperature and Session Characteristics

Lower temperatures generally produce lighter vapor and more pronounced flavor, while higher settings can create denser vapor and faster extraction. The most suitable value depends on the selected herb, personal preference and operating mode.

When using a new botanical material or accessory, starting at a lower temperature and increasing the setting gradually is recommended. The maximum temperature of 220°C does not need to be used during every session.

Cleaning and Maintenance

One advantage of the Glass Pod design is that most botanical residue collects inside the removable glass aroma tube. The chamber should be emptied after every use, and loose residue can be removed with the included stainless steel stirring tool.

Once completely cool, the glass aroma tubes can be cleaned with a suitable cleaning solution. After cleaning, rinse them thoroughly with clean water and allow them to dry completely. A wet glass tube must never be inserted into the device.

  • Empty the chamber after every use.
  • Inspect the filter screens regularly and replace them when necessary.
  • Clean the device’s heating chamber with a soft, dry brush.
  • Never immerse the electronic Solo III unit in water.
  • Do not allow liquid to enter the heating chamber or USB-C port.
  • Allow glass components to cool completely before cleaning or storage.

Safety Information

  • The device and glass tubes can become very hot during use.
  • Only cover a hot glass end with a heat-resistant silicone stem cap.
  • Do not place hot components on heat-sensitive surfaces or inside a closed case.
  • Protect borosilicate glass from impacts, falls and thermal shock.
  • Never use cracked, chipped or otherwise damaged glass components.
  • Keep the device away from water, flammable materials, children and pets.
  • Use only with legally permitted dry botanicals suitable for aromatherapy.
